Flume Gorge New Hampshire

Don't overlook a stop in New Hampshire on your next trip to the New England area.  We HIGHLY recommend a stop at Flume Gorge located in Franconia State Park

This hike includes a little something for everyone: Lush green river views.

Covered bridges in the fog.Last, but not least the hike through the gorge itself.  It was magical.  For a girl from east Texas, it was hard to believe I was in the same country.

The trail is one big loop and is roughly 2 miles round trip.  We finished with stops for photos and what not in about an 1.5 hours.  It was so amazing we would have made the loop again but we didn't arrive to the park until late afternoon and it was closing time.  I would rank this hike in the beginner category.  our 7 year old had no problems and there were a few resting spots along the way.   There are parts of the trail that are only stairs and while they are not steep they are not stroller friendly.

We only came across two other groups on the trail and would imagine that you could take this trail with smaller children at slower pace without the stroller.  All in all it was a family friendly trek IMO.
